With a pedigree that includes Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Yves Saint Laurent, Simon Spurr is creating a brand that is unmatched in its simplistic, yet luxurious and classic design. The English-born Mr. Spurr launched his own full-range collection in 2006, which consists of suits, shirts, accessories, bags, and gloves. His first solo foray on his own consisted exclusively of denim, but soon expanded. The newly married Mr. Spurr focuses on the fit of his clothes, mirroring Savile Row in London, making the clothes fit like a glove. The European-inspired designer credits his inspirations as old Helmut Newton pictures for silhouettes, along with David Bowie albums and Jimi Hendrix’s stage costumes for a color palette which created a paired down collection of classic mens clothes which can easily be appreciated by both younger and older men.
