American mens fashion has taken a plunge into popular culture in recent years, with different designers popping up all the time, mens clothes are being revamped and getting the respect they deserve. My favorite (and most interesting) mens collection right now is Band of Outsiders; their corky take on menswear is so new and innovative, but only because it is so retro. The classic pieces of their collection consists of casual nylon jackets, cotton chinos, stripped polos, classic saddle loafers, flannel shirts, and heavy wool suits, bringing anyone back to mid-century fashion. Scott Sternberg, of Band of Outsiders, contributes to fashion, as André Balazs contributes to mid century interior design in LA's Standard Hotel.
