Rag & Bone

I have been waiting for Rag & Bone's Fall 2011 collection for sometime now, and absolutely love the outcome. The British duo, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright apply their British outlook to their collections, which has proven successful, and of course beautiful. Their menswear collection is always reliable for a pop of interest, but the clothes are still very wearable. The inspiration for the collection was an array of iconography, with a heavy focus on the Duke of Windsor. Mr. Neville and Mr. Wainwright kept the brisk Fall weather in mind by including lots of Scottish red-toned plaids in both pants, jackets and quilts most likely prompted by the Duke's Scottish heritage. However, jackets were the star of the collection, varying from quilted-shirt jackets, wool peacoats, ivory topcoats, a brown leather jackets, with a surprising letterman-style jacket was thrown into the mix too. The design duo have the ability to mix patterns and styles, making each piece uniquely styled but all tying back to the original inspiration. I admire Rag & Bone for creating clothing that incorporates traditional fabrics and textiles with modern design and craftsmanship all thrown into one great concept.
