Yves Saint Laurent

After finally getting my Yves Saint Laurent book by Farid Chenoune and Florence Muller this week, I was obviously inspired by Mr. Saint Laurent, and seeing a few pictures of his duplex at 55 Rue de Babylone in the book, I wanted to see more. I found a treasure-trove of photos taken by Pascal Chevallier on Vanity Fair's website. The beautiful photos showcase the designer's extensive art and furniture collection. I think my favorite objects in the apartment would be the telephone table (above), which has the first drawing of the Yves Saint Laurent logo, and I also like the pair of French Art Deco cubic chairs in the drawing room. Mr. Saint Laurent was the definition of style, and his apartment, which was up for sale, and many of the objects in it were auctioned at Christie's, has a timeless elegance that is parallel with Yves Saint Laurent clothing.
