Little Blue Box

Like many things in New York, space is a luxury. And Todd Romano's 600-square foot studio apartment on the East side may be tiny, but is most definitely does not have tiny style. The one-room living space is backed by a complete wall of windows, which reflect the dark blue lacquered walls, which makes the space feel intimate. When you lead a lifestyle like Mr. Romano's, you do not typically need a huge space, between traveling (he also owns an apartment in LA) and an extremely busy schedule, he did not want a space that was any larger than he needs. The gorgeous apartment is located on a high floor of an all glass building, which gives Mr. Romano exactly what he wanted, views of the city. The space may be simple in size, but it is not simple in design. The eclectic mix of color and texture throughout the space gives the space interest and mood. I am a firm believer in size isn't everything (no jokes, please), so I can really appreciate Mr. Romano's apartment because the space is enough for one person, but still has the gusto of an immaculately designed mansion. And if you would like to see Todd Romano's previous apartment, you can read an interview and pictures on The New York Social Diary.
