Smelling Good on 5th Avenue

It's a well known that fact that most houses have a certain scent to them, and I would say it's safe to assume that the 5th Avenue apartment of perfumer Frédéric Malle and his wife, Marie smells pretty good. The couple moved into the apartment with their children (all but one is currently at boarding school), and renovated the space, adding their own unique tastes to the apartment. The couple's style is mainly developed from both of their shared french heritage, but that has transitioned into a modern decor.  Most of the walls are white, with graphic, oversized art. However, when the Malles stray from a white wall, they go bold with strong colors. The dining room has an electrifying lacquered green color, and the master bedroom has sweet red-floral hued wallpaper. Mr. Malle explained his first experience with modern art was at the Grand Palais in 1972, influencing many of the art shown throughout the house. Take a look at the chic french modern manse.
