Double or Nothing

The best way to look smart, but in a modern way is to sport a slim-fit double-breasted blazer. The typical English jacket that has been worn by every member of the royal family since who knows when, usually it's two sizes too big and with matching pants. Now matching pants aren't unacceptable when working a DB blazer, but it definitely looks pretty awesome when the jacket and the pants are displaying a bit of contrast. With the right fit, and the right color, the King of all British menswear can be worn on a night out or to a casual board meeting in the morning. When wearing the jacket today, the jacket should be pinched at the waist, and be slim all the way down, and the lapels generally should not be too in-your-face (literally), a subdued lapel is always the way to go in my opinion, leave the exaggeration for other places, like a pocket square, tie, or belt. Also, don't mind playing with color, my favorite look is right below, the powder blue BDed Blazer is the perfect fit and has an interesting color, but is not overwhelming... and the Red bow tie does its job by taking center stage of the outfit (see previous statement). If the world of menswear is teaching us anything now, it's saying that it is okay to dress like your grandfather, or the King of England, and in doing so, you're embracing tradition.
