Fill 'em Up

I think that guys have a much more profound appreciation for pockets compared to women; men do not have the opportunity to carry around a purse all day, so men take it upon themselves to utilize each and every one of their pockets. Thankfully, the once baggy and sloppy looking cargo pant is now back and looking better than ever. The improved tailoring of the classic US Army-inspired trouser gives the wearer a slim fit in the legs, along with a less prolific pocket above your knee. The clean-cut version of these practical pants are appropriate for most professional settings, feel free to wear them to the office, but they still have the casualness to wear out that same night. It seems that most of the pants offered by either J. Crew or Club Monaco (or others) are khaki, but I am really drawn to the navy color; probably because the color choice lessens the presence of the extra set of pockets, but it also gives the pants a elegant quality. My preferred outfit would be a pair of navy cargos, with a white oxford, red tie, and a slim grey wool sweater. These pants will be perfect for the Fall and Winter time, because they'll give you the extra space to pack a pair of mittens, or a flask... whichever keeps you warmer.
