Andreas Murkurdis

If there is any shop in the world that will make a person who appreciates quality and style, fall off their chair in excitement, it is the cluster of shops all owned by Andreas Murkurdis in Berlin’s Mitte neighborhood. Mr. Murkurdis treats his collection of boutiques almost like museums, probably because some of the merchandise is one of a kind, or at least museum quality (the french press coffee maker pictured below is priced at 18,000 pounds). All of shops sell different things from clothing, home furnishings, art, jewelery, and some pretty great gifts. Some of the different store displays and some of my favorite items are pictured below. My absolute favorite is the tree bark-covered bowl. It would add a natural element to any space.
