It's now 2012, which means another year has passed, yada yada. While thinking back to the year 2011, or four days ago, one thing that is very apparent to me is that 2011 was a very stylish year. A new genre of photographer really came into it's own, street style, thanks to Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist. The new genre is simple in its way, its subjects being regular people on the street and their style captured to share with the rest of the world. As in intrusive as it might be, it is also really inspiring. The ten pictures below are street style photos from various blogs that are my favorite from the past year. It is a constantly growing genre, and is almost always accessible from the internet. There is a great video at the end of this post of Mr. Schuman discussing this process and motivation behind capturing people on the street.
