Classic in New York City

Square rooms, high ceilings, and big windows are quintessential New York apartment features, and a recently featured apartment on the New York Social Diary has all these features. The apartment is filled with pieces of antiques and art that will make anybody want to move in. The neutrally decorated apartment is huge, but still holds a comfortable feeling because of the personal things that fill it; the owner is a financier by day, and an antique and art gallery owner on the side. Among the owners’ many homes, he delicately packed his Upper East Side apartment with a mix of French antiques from different periods, bringing light into the naturally dark space. One of my favorite aspects of the entire apartment is the dinning room outlined in built-in bookshelves, it is such a common thing in apartment in the city, and adds such a nice feel to the whole room. Enjoy!
