Hearing something's knit isn't the most exciting thing, like hearing your grandmother knit you a scarf, or your crazy loving aunt made you an offensively colored afghan. Not all knits are lackluster though. A silk-knit tie is a damn cool way to add a little variety into your neckwear regime. The finely textured neck ties are softer than most of their solid silk counterparts, all while making the wearer look like he is a sartorial genius. I was initially drawn to these little numbers because they are mainly designed with vibrant solid colors, but actually come in a couple different patterns, including fair isle (pictured below), the official winter motif. I love anything fair isle. Fair isle sweaters, shirts, jackets, and now ties. I digress. Knit ties are commonly seen in summer because of their light weight perfection and commonly featured bright colors, but they are just as acceptable for wintertime festivities, like the office holiday party. There is a huge variety of color, pattern, and width this season winter season for you to work out a little variety.
